Firstly, it all begins with good skincare, after all, Picasso didn’t paint on concrete! The condition of your skin has a direct effect on your make-up. Unprepared skin leads to the make-up fading during the day, or sitting too heavily on your skin and you never get that beautiful glowing fresh faced look. We will look at your skincare routine together and look at products that will best prepare your skin for make-up.
"A regular, achievable, skin care routine is key to your makeup success!"
Secondly, the right palette. This is your tool kit and contains all the elements you will ever need. That’s right, with my make-up method you will only need a small collection of products including essentials such as a foundation, a bronzer and a colour palette. My make-up is based on 2 colour palettes Heathers and Berries and Peaches and Creams. Your colour palette is selected on the colour of your eyes and your skin tone. Within each colour palette, there are 4 eye shades. These are the only colours you will ever need.
Thirdly, this is the fun part, the application. I will guide you through my simple make-up method and teach you how to apply the make-up in your tool kit in the right way to achieve that glowing fresh faced look. You can watch my demonstration videos, book a 1 to 1 make-up masterclass or buy an online masterclass with a group of friends. Fear of change is for old ladies. Embrace your age, learn to highlight the best that is there and we will celebrate your beauty together.
There are 2 colour palettes used in my make-up method, Heathers and Berries and Peaches and Creams. The first thing we look at is the colour of your eyes, which along with the colour/tone of your skin, determines which palette is best for you.
Follow Jo’s make-up method step by step in these demonstration videos. Jo talks through the products she is using, how and where to apply them, so that you can easily achieve the same look. Full of hints and tips you will learn the best way to apply your make-up to your skin. In the demonstration videos, Jo uses the Peaches and Cream palette on Sharon and Julie and the Heather and Berries palette on Michelle.
